The End

Right, that’s it, I’m calling it a day, at least at this place, and under this name. I will re-materialise somewhere else, very soon. If you need further directions to somewhere else, e-mail me. Thanks to all readers and those who have left comments here down the years.

Dammit. I hope the resurgence will be rapid and obvious.

Farewell to a great blog. Let me know when the pike’s out of the thatch!

I’m appalled to think how many years I’ve been reading blog. I’m tempted to say that “I grew up reading it”, but in many ways I have. Thanks for all the times this blog has brought my attention to stuff that I perhaps should have realised by myself, but didn’t, and look forward to whatever appellation you or your writings manifest under from now on.

Sorry to hear you’re moving on, Hugh. Best of luck with whatever is ahead and thanks for the always incisive analysis and the the translations. ‘The Punishment of Sloth’ will be missed!

Thanks to all for the kind comments. Makes me think I should quit more often.

I only started reading a little while ago. I’ve re-read through some older posts and I reckon there’s many more worth reading, I hope you keep the site archived.

Like Donagh said it too has brought my attention to things I wouldn’t otherwise have seen and your point of view has been important and insightful.

Only started reading recently, since all the stuff at Puerta del Sol started. This was one of the best blogs to make sense of all the rather underreported events. Thanks a lot.

This place will be missed, and congratulations on the years you’ve spent here. Looking forward to wherever you hang your hat next.

Always enjoyed your writing, especially during recent under reported events in Spain and their relevance to the situation in Ireland. Thank you for the translations and insightful commentary. Looking forward to the renaissance.

As I said a while ago, I’ll miss the mental gymnastics…..so please… come back soon.

I’m ashamed to admit I’m only noticing this now.

And only now after a whole day of subliminal cogitation noticing the significance of the image. Very good.
