		<description><![CDATA[It&#039;s Hebrew as opposed to Latin.  Baruch Spinoza changed his name after he was excommunicated to Benedict - the Latin equivalent.  After the Jews excommunicated him, he excommunicated the Hebrew from his name while keeping the meaning essentially the same.  The name means &quot;blessed&quot;, and if you know Spinoza you know how appropriate this is.  See my post &quot;God Does not Roll Dice&quot;
