A lot of ‘humour’ produced in Northern Ireland isn’t funny in the wider world. In fact, some of it simply isn’t funny. I can just about force one laugh while sitting through a whole episode of ‘Give My Head Peace’, but my wife finds more than 30 seconds of it unbearable.
If there’s anything less funny than NI-produced ‘humour’, it’s usually the wider world straining to say something funny about Northern Ireland.
But I find this very funny. She puts in a great performance. Her accent is a bit irregular, but she nails it better than most. Actually, I think the fact that she hits the odd ‘bum note’ adds to things.
